Adorable Hello Kitty Con Food: Spam Musubi, Macarons And More
Hello Kitty is celebrating her 40th birthday in Los Angeles with the first ever Hello Kitty Con. The event at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA is the hotspot has all things cute, but nothing is more kawaii than all the special, limited edition food items that are (almost) too pretty to eat!
LAist visited Hello Kitty Con on Thursday and checked out the different Hello Kitty-themed food that fans get to enjoy over the next few days. Vendors there are making limited edition items available just for the convention. From Dylan's Candy Bar's limited edition Hello Kitty chocolates and cookies, to a Hello Kitty Spam musubi maker, and Hello Kitty macarons, the first Hello Kitty Con is a sensory overload for Hello Kitty lovers and foodies alike.
There was a workshop on how to decorate Hello Kitty cookies at Hello Kitty Con, where Michele Chen Chock, the "I Heart Baking!" blogger led the class.
We even got to check out the adorable and very pink Hello Kitty Cafe food truck parked at the event; they are selling Hello Kitty-themed donuts, cake pops and petit fours. The Hello Kitty Cafe is expected to open a brick and mortar in Orange County in 2015.
