Photos: Los Angeles' Hello Kitty Food Scavenger Hunt Is Now In Full Swing

Before you read more...
Dear reader, we're asking you to help us keep local news available for all. Your tax-deductible financial support keeps our stories free to read, instead of hidden behind paywalls. We believe when reliable local reporting is widely available, the entire community benefits. Thank you for investing in your neighborhood.

For the foodies of Los Angeles who also just so happen to be Hello Kitty fans, brace yourselves: the Hello Kitty Hungry Hunt starts today.

Sanrio has hand-picked eateries around the city to participate in offering special, Hello Kitty-themed food, drinks, and desserts from now to Nov. 21. (They're celebrating Hello Kitty's 40th anniversary.) And with every dish you purchase from these vendors, you'll also get yourself a Hello Kitty pin showing everyone's favorite cat (er...little girl) eating the item that you just ate. We're talking about things like Hello Kitty donuts to burger with pink cheese to pizzas, and from restaurants like Plan Check and Zip Sushi. Each shop is selling limited amounts each day, so make sure you get there early.

We rounded up photos of some of the Hello Kitty treats that fans are already enjoying and also showing off on Instagram and Twitter. For a complete list of all the participating restaurants, visit the Sanrio website here.
