Police Look for Clues About Man Fatally Shot in Echo Park This Morning
Police are trying to find out why a 21-year-old man was shot to death in the Angelino Heights section of Echo Park early this Easter Sunday morning.
Family members found the victim Etsael Cardenas unresponsive in his car around 1:40 am, according to a release from LAPD. The release says it wasn't clear what was wrong with him when paramedics arrived, but they figured out that he was suffering from a single gunshot wound to his torso, Echo Park Patch reported. Cardenas was transported to the hospital where he died later.
Police have not found any weapon or motive, and they do not believe that the shooting was gang-related, Patch reported. Anyone with information should call Rampart Area Homicide Detective M. Arteaga at (213) 484-3650 or Rampart Area Watch Commander at (213)484-3400.
