Will L.A.'s Medical Marijuana Ordinance Mean the Loss of 2,000 Local Jobs?

A valley medical marijuana shop owner says the ordinance set to go in affect next month will eliminate a lot of jobs. As in the thousands.
"That's another 2,000 people out of a job and you're going to need (a dispensary) five times bigger than Wal-Mart," Gary Bay told the Daily News. "This law literally puts everything back on the street into criminal hands. You're going to have to literally go to the corner again and talk to (a drug dealer)."
Around 550 dispensaries were estimated to be in operation, but only 130 are allowed to stay open because they opened before a moratorium went into effect. The paper reports that a group of dispensary owners are working on a couple of lawsuits against the city.
