Sonia Sotomayor nominated to replace Supreme Court Justice Souter
President Barack Obama announced his nominee for the Supreme Court this morning, Federal Judge Sonia Sotomayor. Sotomayor would be replacing retiring Supreme Court Judge David Souter. She is the first Latino and only the third woman to be nominated for the country's high court. Obama emphasized that he wanted someone who would look at justice with "empathy."
