Metrolink Crash in Glendale
Host Larry Mantle discusses the Metrolink crash that occurred in Glendale early this morning. Three trains were involved, including two commuter trains and a parked Union Pacific car, as well as an automobile on the tracks. At least 10 people have been confirmed dead, and many more are injured, some of them critically. Joining Larry is Jim Wells, spokesman for the Los Angeles City Fire Department, Frank Stoltze, and John Rabe, both KPCC Reporters on the scene of the crash, and Najm Meshkati, professor of civil and environmental engineering at USC, who studies grade crossing train accidents.
