Larry talks with the acclaimed British film director, Stephen Frears, about his career and his most recent film The Queen, starring Helen Mirren. Frear's first film was the 1972 Gumshoe. But it was his production of the one-off drama My Beautiful Launderette for BBC 4 in 1985 that led to his notice as a capable film director when the production was released theatrically to great acclaim. His other films include Mrs. Henderson Presents, High Fidelity, Dirty Pretty Things and Dangerous Liaisons.
