For over 30 years, Bill Strickland has transformed thousands of lives as the founder and CEO of Manchester Bidwell, a Pittsburgh-based jobs training center and community arts program. The innovative nonprofit works with corporations, community leaders, and schools to give disadvantaged youth and adults the opportunities and resources to improve their lives. The Manchester Craftsmen's Guild offers programs in ceramics, photography, and painting to hundreds of kids a year, 90% of whom obtain high school diplomas and pursue higher education. Additionally, the Bidwell Training Center prepares adults for careers in the culinary arts, pharmacology, and horticultural technology.
