After Five Weeks, the MTA Strike Ends

The MTA Board voted unanimously on Monday to accept the terms of a settlement with the Transit Mechanics Union which provides for a 6% raise in wages over three years based on a tentative agreement made during weekend negotiations. Both sides have yet to resolve differences on health care but have agreed to submit to non-binding arbitration. Buses started rolling Monday evening. Joining Host Larry Mantle is Rachael Myrow, KPCC Reporter, Zev Yaroslavsky, LA County Supervisor and Chairman of the MTA Board, and Antonio Villaraigosa, LA Councilmember, 14th District.
