A Newport Beach man was robbed, and he wants his stuff back. That stuff, however, happens to be 25 pounds of marijuana he was growing in his home, according to KTLA. The unidentified victim was burgled Sunday afternoon at his home in Santa Ana Heights. A neighbor alerted the authorities that two men were breaking in; the perps "used a hammer to break some glass on the front door and get inside."

The California Coastal Commission has opted to postpone their vote on a proposal by U2 guitarist The Edge to build several Malibu mansions, reports the Daily News. The Commission believes the project violates state law, and claim it will ruin the vista and scar the wild hillsides. The plan, in the works for two years now, is for The Edge (nee David Evans) to build "five multi-level homes ranging from 7,220 to 12,785 square feet [...] on a ridgeline in the Santa Monica Mountains overlooking Malibu."

Councilmember Tom LaBonge has sought City Council approval for a $50,000 reward in the case of Jong Kim, a business man who was shot and killed outside his North Hollywood home late last year. Kim was gunned down on his way to his home on Chiquita Street near Lankershim Boulevard on November 18th, 2010. Troubling his family, associates, and detectives is the lack of motive for the crime.
