  • Tonight LA-based singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles (LAist Review) will be performing to a sold-out crowd at the Hotel Café. Pennsylvania-bred experimental folk outfit Akron/Family are poised to play the second night of a three-date stint at the Steve Allen Theater. And, lastly, San Franciscan alt-rockers Birds & Batteries will be playing at the the Smell. But we strongly suggest you do whatever it takes to catch Melbourne-based electro pop buzz band Cut Copy, who will be concluding a sold-out two-date stint at the Henry Fonda Music Box Club Nokia (note the last minute venue change). Brooklyn's own dance punk duo Matt & Kim are slated to kick off the show.
  • Tonight legendary British rockers the Pretenders will be performing at the Wiltern. Melbourne's own electro pop buzz band Cut Copy are poised to headline the Henry Fonda Music Box with Brooklyn-based duo Matt & Kim in tow. And, lastly, local indie rockers Foreign Born will be making their triumphant return to the Echo before heading out for SXSW. But we strongly suggest heading over to Spaceland to catch Danish glitch rockers Efterklang. LA-based indie rock outfit Eulogies are slated to kick the show off.
  • Tonight LA-based indie rocker Nico Stai will be taking on the second night of a month-long residency at Spaceland. Local jazz-infused pop duo Alex & Sam (LAist Interview, Review) are poised to grace the Hotel Café. And, lastly, Echo Park-bred quartet Wait. Think. Fast. will be headlining the Echo. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Viper Room to catch the bluesy rock duo Rumspringa (LAist Review, #2). The equally rollicking duo Restavrant is slated to kick things off.
  • Tonight famed Zero 7 vocalist Tina Dico will be gracing the Roxy in Hollywood. Local country troubadour Mike Stinson is poised to play early on at Redwood Bar & Grill for this week's edition of Brunch Americana. And, lastly, LA-based rock outfit Go West Young Man will be playing at All Star Lanes in Eagle Rock. But we strongly suggest heading over to Jimmy's Lounge to catch Brooklyn-by-way-of-LA electronic mastermind Eliot Lipp, among many others, for Ghostly International's 10th Anniversary extravaganza.
  • Tonight NY-based hard rockers Coheed and Cambria (LAist Review) will be performing at the Forum with none other than Slipknot. Nashville's own alt-country rockers Lambchop are poised to grace the stage at Largo at the Coronet. And, lastly, San Diegan psych rock outfit Earthless will be rocking out in a warehouse off the 10. But we strongly suggest doing whatever it takes to get into the Walt Disney Music Hall to catch Anthony Gonzalez, the french electronic mastermind behind M83, accompanied by the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
  • Tonight local producer/multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire Jon Brion (LAist Review) will be jamming with friends at Largo at the Coronet. LA-bred singer-songwriter Robert Francis (LAist Interview) is poised to perform at Home Restaurant. Although we recommend going merely for the images, the second night of Exposure, a local photography exhibition which takes place at Meet Mix Mogul, boasts performances by One Trick Pony, the Voyeurs (LAist Interview) and the Monolators (LAist Review, #2). And, lastly, LA-by-way-of-Austin indie rockers Oliver Future will be gracing Spaceland. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Mint to catch avant-garde jazz trio the Bad Plus. They will be joined by vocalist Wendy Lewis to perform songs from their forthcoming disc of covers, 2009's For All I Care.
  • Tonight Mesa-based indie rockers Jimmy Eat World will be performing their 2001 tour de force Clarity in its entirety to a sold-out crowd at Club Nokia. Cultish San Diegan rock outfit No Knife are set to open the show. As mistakenly noted prior, bluegrass troubadour Gillian Welch will be jamming with her longtime musical partner Dave Rawlings at Largo at the Coronet. And, lastly, Brooklyn-by-way-of-LA electronic mastermind Eliot Lipp is slated to grace the Dakota Live Music Lounge in Santa Monica. But we strongly suggest heading over to Amoeba Records on Sunset to catch ruddy-haired country songstress Neko Case.
  • Tonight prominent, folksy rock singer-songwriter M. Ward will be performing to a sold-out crowd at the Henry Fonda Music Box with San Diegan rockers Delta Spirit (LAist Interview) in tow. Bluegrass stalwarts Gillian Welch and her longtime musical partner Dave Rawlings are poised to jam at Largo at the Coronet. And, lastly, Auckland's finest indie pop outfit Cut Off Your Hands will be sharing the stage with Eagle Rock-based pop rockers Princeton (LAist Interview) for this week's edition of Club NME at Spaceland. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Roxy to catch LA's most prepossessing electro pop duo Electrocute (LAist Review, #2, #3, #4).

And, lastly, Jockpit, which features members of No Age, Friends Forever and Kyle H. Mabson, will be making noise at the Smell. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Echoplex to catch Brighton-based krautrockers Fujiya & Miyagi. English psych pop singer-songwriter Pop Levi is slated to kick the show off.
  • Tonight Hüsker Dü front man, NY-based singer-songwriter Bob Mould will be performing at the Hotel Café. LA-based indie rocker Nico Stai is poised to kick off a month-long residency at Spaceland. And, lastly, LAist favorites the Monolators (LAist Review, #2) will be gracing the Echo with the Hectors. But we strongly suggest heading over to the House of Blues Sunset to catch Oakland-bred retro-soul singer Raphael Saadiq.
