The normal blue sunny skies that give Dodger Stadium its almost supernatural glow were instead dark and gray today. After the tragedy in Boston it's hard to think about baseball, but here it was with the Dodgers losing to the Padres 6-3.

In the last Kings game, they came out strong against the Colorado Avalanche in the first period outshooting them 15-4. It all went downhill after that. The Avalanche tied the game up in the third period, and the Kings had to sweat it out in the shootout before they got the victory.

I seriously wonder about the Kings. There are times when I think they have a great chance to repeat as Stanley Cup Champions. Take the first period of their 3-2 shootout victory over the Colorado Avalanche.
