  • Boston transplants (such as this blogger) will be none too pleased to hear that Alex Rodriguez, third baseman for the Yankees, was spotted house hunting in Beverly Hills recently with his girlfriend, former wrestler Torrie Wilson.
  • Ashley Madison, the infamous website that helps facilitate extramarital affairs for the would-be unfaithful, has a lot invested in figuring out where people are most likely to cheat on their spouses. So, they did a little research to find out which U.S. city has the most mistresses per capita, and guess what? It's us!
  • Arriving at the airport, holding political rallies or even shopping can be lonely endeavors if there's nobody around to join you. A solo walk from the plane to the cab, for instance, can feel like a march of solitude on days when all you want to see is a smiling face.
  • Police are seeking the public's help in finding a man who broke into the apartment of a 29-year-old Rowland Height resident and sexually assaulted her. The LA Sheriff's Department reports that the attack happened on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 6:00 a.m. in the 1500 block of Jellick Avenue.
  • Guns N' Roses are reuniting for a stint in Vegas, but not everyone is thrilled with the impression they've left so far -- a county commissioner had to apologize for putting up artwork from the band's debut 1987 album, "Appetite for Destruction," that showed what looked like a woman about to be raped.

  • The idea of Yoko Ono breaking up The Beatles is so pervasive at this point that any girlfriend anywhere who gets in between a group of male friends runs the risk of being likened to the avant garde artist.
  • Three neighbors came to the rescue of a 70-year-old woman whose house had been broken into by a man who then tried to rape her, reports KTLA. The Monrovia woman, whose name hasn't been released, said that she knew her attacker from having worked with him years ago.
  • In keeping with the prescribed trajectory for reality stars, Octomom has checked herself into rehab to get treatment for an addiction to Xanax. TMZ reports that the mother of 14 left her kids with three nannies and two friends as she headed to Chapman House Drug Rehabilitation Center, which has locations in Orange and Tustin.
  • What's the best place that you can think of for a three-month old baby to hang out? In its nursery? Or possibly in the loving lap of a parent? Or, how about the Playboy Mansion? Such was the case for Kelsey Grammar's infant daughter Faith over the weekend, when the actor and his wife, Katye, brought their baby to a Hef-hosted event on Saturday night.
  • Two men were shot by police in Compton yesterday evening after a chase that ended on foot near a cul-de-sac, reports City News Service. Both turned out to be unarmed. The incident began when officers reported hearing shots fired at about 6:20 p.m. near the 1600 block of East San Luis Street.
  • Dear fellow bloggers: You should know that Christina Aguilera hates us. Like, for real. The singer took the opportunity at yesterday's keynote question and answer session at the Billboard/Hollywood Reporter Film & TV Conference to talk about the fact that most online writers are horrible people.
