Neighbors Save Woman From Rape after Hearing Cries for Help

Three neighbors came to the rescue of a 70-year-old woman whose house had been broken into by a man who then tried to rape her, reports KTLA.
The Monrovia woman, whose name hasn't been released, said that she knew her attacker from having worked with him years ago. Darron Lewis, 46, of Duarte, reportedly knocked on his victim's door before forcing his way in, shoving her to the ground and telling her he was going to rape her.
It was at that point that three neighbors heard her cries for help and came to her assistance. They pulled Lewis off her and held him down until police showed up.
Lewis is now being held on $50,000 bail.
