Long Beach Pride has its own queen: Dana Owens aka Queen Latifah will be heading the 2-day festival next weekend. "For Queen Latifah to make her worldwide pride debut here in Long Beach is a tremendous testament to the popularity of our celebration and the strength of our community," Pride co-President Pat Crosby said, in a statement.

A football player for the University of Idaho was shot to death during a party at the Brewery Lofts in Lincoln Heights, according to news reports. Ken McRoyal, 22, was fatally shot in the chest at 1:30 am while he was at a party last night.

Authorities are looking for a 35-year-old FBI agent who was reported missing on Friday morning. FBI Special Agent Stephen Ivens was reported missing around 7 am Friday morning and hasn't been heard from since. Authorities are especially worried because the agent seemed despondent and possibly suicidal before he went missing
