An assistant high school football coach suspected of having sex with a 15-year-old student at the school where he coached was arrested yesterday at his home near Santa Clarita. School officials reported to sheriff's deputies that they suspected that the 20-year-old coach Nicolas Ovendale and a girl had sex.

The Orange County Sheriff's Department is looking into whether one of its employees took his girlfriend on a joyride in the department's helicopters. The internal investigation was sparked by angry anonymous letter complaining that the sheriff's department shouldn't be letting its employees take a joyride at taxpayers' expense.

A deputy district attorney in San Diego commit suicide in front of a cop at a traffic stop last night. Escondido police had received a report that prosecutor Christine Trevino, 51, was acting suicidal.

Police are investigating the creepy possibility that a sexual assailant used Twitter to find his next victim. On Halloween afternoon, a man jumped out of the bushes and sexually assaulted a woman finishing up a stroll through Elysian Park. She managed to escape and the suspect fled.

Michael Jackson's family isn't happy with MSNBC's decision to air a documentary on the relationship between Jackson and his doctor Conrad Murray "Michael Jackson and the Doctor: A Fatal Friendship." Michael Jackson's estate complains in a letter to MSNBC that the documentary is an attempt to shift the blame back to Jackson.

Los Angeles Fire Department Captain Eric Vasquez has a $108,000 salary, but last year he took home a sweet extra $50,000 in vacation pay. That number must have seemed awfully suspicious to the city, because they have put Vasquez on administrative leave while they investigate his case, according to the Daily News.
