A wrong-way driver on the 170 caused two collisions and sent three people to the hospital after heading north on the southbound lanes at about 3:00 this morning, reports City News Service.

The crashes happened near Laurel Canyon. Both were two-car collisions, and the injuries involved were minor.

The driver who was going the wrong way was being investigated for possibly driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
