Win the entire "Laguna Beach" Season 2 on DVD

Truth matters. Community matters. Your support makes both possible. LAist is one of the few places where news remains independent and free from political and corporate influence. Stand up for truth and for LAist. Make your year-end tax-deductible gift now.

LAist isn't sure how we feel about Laguna Beach. No, no, not the show, we love the show, the city is what we're unsure about. Typically we like to keep our 714-shit behind the orange curtain.

But then we thought, maybe we're being too rough on our less-fortunate neighbors to the south. They can't help it that they live down there in those big houses near the beach, thinking that the Offspring is "rad" and that Hummers are "unnecessary replacements for soul and average-sized genitals."

LAist has noticed that when the Rams left Anaheim, after a few years no one noticed; meanwhile we see people walking around in Raiders jerseys up here in the 323 every. damn. day.

Anyways, everything is better on MTV, and Laguna Beach is no exception -- which is why we are proudly hosting a "Laguna Beach" Season 2 DVD contest to celebrate the premiere of Season 3, which airs on Wednesday.

All you have to do is tell us what you think about Laguna Beach, the town. We don't care if it's postive or negative, we don't care if it's long or short. We don't care if you have photographs, illustrations, or video. All we care is that you send it to us at thelaist @ gmail.com by Wednesday at noon so that we can announce the winner tomorrow afternoon.

The lucky entry will nab the "Laguna Beach" Complete Season 2 DVDs, which were just released last week. So throw on that Rooney CD and send in your take on the town. All entries could possibly be posted on LAist... if you're lucky.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our connected community. We are free to tell the full truth, to hold power to account without fear or favor, and to follow facts wherever they lead. Our only loyalty is to our audiences and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen our community.

Right now, LAist has lost $1.7M in annual funding due to Congress clawing back money already approved. The support we receive before year-end will determine how fully our newsroom can continue informing, serving, and strengthening Southern California.
