At around 2 p.m., a large tree surrendered itself to the weather, falling to the ground and blocking access along Angus Street at Micheltorena in Silver Lake, a few blocks from the local Trader Joe's. No injuries to people or cars were sustained, said Tom Andrews, who happened upon this after some grocery shopping. To see the tree in all its glory before it toppled over, a Google street view version is embedded below.
