TV Junkie: Wednesday Night Picks
Holy jeebus my eyeballs are gonna fall out. There's about a 1/2 dozen series premieres and a 1/2 dozen season premieres tonight. Unfortnately the only new thing calling my name is the Bionic Woman (9:00pm NBC) but that's based on junior high school fantasies and not what I've seen so far of this show. Prime time offers such an overabundance of mediocrity I'm tempted to head off to TCM at 8:00pm and watch the original Absent Minded Professor with Fred MacMurray (you know, Flubber?) as a kind of mental comfort food. Check out late night TV though, there's plenty of good stuff there, mostly without conflict.
8:00pm The War PBS - Part IV: This is the one with D-Day.
8:00pm Back to You FOX - Series Premiere.
8:00pm Kid Nation CBS - Hey, the first episode was pretty good.
8:30pm 'Til Death FOX - Season Premiere.
9:00pm Bionic Woman NBC - Series Premiere. Wait, maybe it's a series re-premiere?
9:00pm Private Practice ABC - Series Premiere of the Grey's Anatomy spin-off. Turn your head and cough.
9:00pm Kitchen Nightmares FOX - Season Premiere.
9:00pm Criminal Minds CBS - Season Premiere.
10:00pm Dirty Sexy Money ABC - Series Premiere.
10:00pm CSI: NY CBS - Season Premiere: Blood on the Statue of Liberty?
10:00pm Top Chef BRAVO - Season finale: part one.
11:30pm The Colber(t) Repor(t) COMEDYCENTRAL - Tony Bennett!
11:35pm The Late Show With David Letterman CBS - Jennifer Garner, Ken Burns, Chaka Khan!!
12:35am Late Night With Conan O'Brien NBC - Ted Danson!, Patton Oswalt, Devendra Banhart!
