Tonight in Rock: Eastside or Westside, Where Shall Indie 103.1 Go?

In the comments section of yesterday's post on changes at The Viper Room, concert goers are hoping for Indie 103.1's Check One... Two moves eastward while saying such things as "the Sunset Strip is dead." To that, owner of The Roxy, Nic Adler commented back: "True the strip has negelted it self over the last several years but we are well aware of that and are doing our best to bring it back to it legendary status. One show at a time, one show at a time." Crystal Castles plays the venue tonight and and an additional midnight show on Friday.

After the Lakers win the game tomorrow night or after you finish perusing the Downtown Art & Comedy Walk, the city's center won't be done for the night. Starting at 7 p.m. (and "goes all night") is Meet Your Music with West Indian Girl as the headliners. It's an art meets music event with artists displaying their works and rumors of free Aashi beer. Free beer or not, the event is $5 and goes to charity (Goodlife planting trees, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation). It all happens at The 533.

Lastly, if you haven't entered to win tickets to Rilo Kiley at the Greek Theatre for a week from today, there's still time!
