Three-Year-Old Killed, Mother Injured in Hit and Run

A mother was critically injured and her three-year-old daughter killed when they were struck by a car while walking in a crosswalk in Anaheim yesterday evening, reports City News Service.
The pair were crossing the street just before 6:00 p.m. when a light-colored Nissan, which was later discovered to be stolen, hit them and sped away. Both were taken to UC Irvine Medical Center. The child died at the hospital, and her mother is listed in critical condition.
The car was later found abandoned nearby, and the suspected is believed to have fled on foot. Anyone with information is encouraged to call (714) 892-4426.
