Swimmer Goes Missing Near Dana Point

A 34-year-old Rowland Heights man went missing last night after going for a swim at Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point, reports City News Service.
Because of Hurricane Ileana, tides are particularly high and strong in the area.
The search for the man, whose name hasn't been released, began at about 7:30 p.m. and was called off around 10:00 p.m. when it became too difficult for divers to continue maneuvering in the the water.
Officials are planning to start the search again today, beginning by trying to figure out where the man entered the water. His family, meanwhile, held a vigil at the beach last night.
