DMV Computer System Down State-Wide [UPDATED]

If you are headed to the Department of Motor Vehicles today, pack an extra load of patience. Right now a "glitch" has knocked down their computer system state-wide, leading to a blanket outage at all field offices.
The DMV first alerted customers in the 9 a.m. hour:
DMV is currently experiencing technical difficulties that may affect customer transactions. We appreciate your patience.

More recently, we're hearing that they do not know when things will get back online:
DMV officials say there is a statewide computer outage this morning; no estimate on when the problem will be fixed. http://t.co/vaEiQIjl

No computers means they can't process anything, and (sigh) they can't reschedule your appointment. Oh what fun!
UPDATE 11:15 AM: System is still down, and it's affecting their online system, too:
The State is currently experiencing communications issues between AT&T & Verizon that is impacting both DMV online & field office services.

1:45 PM The DMV says their computers were restored around noon today, and things should be proceeding as normal, according to City News Service.
