Son Suspected Of Killing Parents In Koreatown Murder-Suicide
The bodies of a man and his elderly parents—victims of a suspected murder-suicide—were found in a Koreatown apartment on Saturday afternoon.
A manager checked in on an apartment in the 1100 block of Crenshaw Boulevard around 3:30 p.m. because of a foul odor coming from the apartment and found the three bodies inside, according to LAPD. The victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
One of the victims has been identified by the coroner's office as 86-year-old Saeng Mah and the other as 54-year-old Hee Mah, according to City News Service. The woman has not been identified.
Police say it looks like the son murdered his parents before taking his own life, but it is unclear how the elderly couple died. The case was reported to the coroner's office as a double murder-suicide, and autopsies are pending.
