Someone Fired A Shotgun At A Woman Exiting The 5 Freeeway
Police are looking for a suspect who fired a shotgun at a woman as she was exiting the 5 Freeway in Atwater Village early this morning.
LAPD said that the woman was injured around 6 a.m. when someone pulled up next to her 2002 Nissan sedan and shot at her at the Colorado Boulevard exit, reported the L.A. Times. She was able to exit the freeway and stopped at the Colorado Boulevard and San Fernando Road intersection.
She was hit by several of the shotgun pellets, and was taken to a hospital. Authorities say her injuries are non life-threatening.
The driver fled in a dark-colored SUV. Police are searching for the suspect and are investigating any possible motives for the shooting.
