Sex Week: Facebook Spreads the Love, and the Condoms

After all you've learned about sex this week here at LAist, it would be such a shame if you forgot a condom at the last minute.

But not to worry - Planned Parenthood has your back. For Valentine's Day, the organization has launched a Facebook application called "You're Protected" that allows users to send virtual condoms to their friends. It's a gentle, fun reminder to wrap it before you tap it.

The application features Planned Parenthood's Proper Attire condoms, which- in real life - are available in in four styles: basic, color, studded and extra large (you lucky lady!). The fancy packaging (so fancy, in fact, that they were featured in Glamour) is designed for women to feel comfortable carrying them in a purse or pocket. Should you want to purchase the condoms, you can buy them online, in person at the Roosevelt Hotel, or at the Thompson Beverly Hills. I guess they know where and when people might need protection.

The best thing about this whole idea, though, might just be the tag line for Proper Attire: "Condoms required for entry." I suggest you use it the next time your partner tries to maneuver their way in unsheathed.
