Priska Neely, Early Education Reporter

I connect caregivers of children ages 0-5 in L.A. County who live and breathe our early childhood system every day with academics, researchers and policy makers to reveal gaps between the two and shine a light on what's working and what's not.
My series on black infant mortality and the links to racism and chronic stress won first place in the public service category from the Associated Press Television and Radio Association.
Before KPCC/LAist, I worked as a producer at NPR in Culver City and Washington, DC. I was born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland and spent the first five years of my life in my mom's home daycare.
