Cloverfield Premiere Red-Carpet Photo-Essay

Held at Paramount Studios, last night's Cloverfield Premiere drew out all kinds of celebrities from big names like Lindsay Lohan to MTV-reality-scum Heidi Montag & Spencer Pratt.
Due to some confusion, I was confirmed for video media coverage and NOT still photographs. Instead of challenging the Paramount Studios Staff to a duel, or flipping out on them because, "How am i supposed to shoot video with this Nikon SLR?" I chose to put the Nikon away so that i wouldn't be asked to leave. As it was explained to me, they "had enough" photographers already. Whatevs!
I figured that the next best option, since i had no video camera, and i couldn't use my real camera, was to whip out the iPhone and see if i could use its camera. The photos turned out much better than i expected, and it was fun to be on the red carpet. Just know that if i was allowed to use my Nikon, i would have way better pics, and three times as many.
Highlights of the evening include: Seeing Spencer Pratt shake Joel McHale's hand, and hearing Joel shit talk Spencer after he walked away. The spectacle that is Linsday Lohan. Meeting Manny in the Streets from 102.7 kissFM. Laughing at Hollywood starlets that were obviously freezing their butts off in their skimpy dresses. Cracking jokes with other media folk that the main character of Cloverfield was dressed like Inspector Gadget.
I didn't always know who someone was, or what made them notable, so there is one dude i have a picture of and i have no idea who he is. 10 points to the reader who can identify him. 10 points to Carrie Meathrell for identifying the unknown famous guy as Anton Yelchin!
The photo-essay begins after the jump.
