After eluding authorities for over three days, adult industry worker and sometimes actor Stephen Hill, 34, engaged the LAPD's SWAT team in a standoff today that ended in Hill's death. The standoff began this morning after police used a community member's tip to locate Hill on the 8000 block of Azul in West Hills. Hill, wanted for the murder of fellow porn actor Herbert Wong, aka "Tom Dong," and the stabbing of two other co-workers at Ultima DVD, threatened suicide during the 8-hour-long standoff, indicating he would use the samurai sword he'd used in Tuesday night's stabbing to do so, reports the LA Times.

The authorities tried to subdue Hill, who, according to some remarks made comments about his wish to be an actor, and that "it wasn't supposed to be like this." They used less-than lethal weapons to try to take Hill down, but at around 5:30 Hill jumped off the cliff and fell about 40 feet. Paramedics removed Hill from the scene, but upon arrival at the hospital it was determined he had died as a result of the fall.
