It's Not Just Hot Dogs, LAPD After Fruit Carts
After reading our LAPD vs. the Hot Dog Carts story and witnessing something yesterday, a reader, Michelle, writes in about the fruit cart guy in front of her office:
I work on Wilshire in the Miracle Mile area. Every day for the past year or so there's been a guy outside our office selling fruit from a cart filled with ice. Yesterday around 11 am there were four cops down by where the cart is usually located. We thought there had been an accident. The cops were talking to the guy who sells fruit and his cart was up on a flat-bed truck, along with at least three other carts. Have you heard anything about a fruit cart sting operation? Seems like there's a lot more going on in L.A. that the cops could focus their time and efforts on.
