Police are searching for a man who they say shot a pizza delivery guy, stealing his wallet, cell phone and pizzas, at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday in Long Beach. The shooting took place near 9th Street and Atlantic Avenue, reports KTLA. Police showed up in time to fire several rounds at the suspect, but he managed to get away and hasn't been seen since.

Residents of nearby apartment buildings were evacuated, and a SWAT team was called in. Resident Joe Ogle told the news site that the gunshots sounded like they were in his backyard.

"There were some more gunshots really close... They actually sounded like they were in my laundry room."
