Parts of PCH Underwater After Eight Foot High Waves

The OC is underwater -- and not just because of all the overpriced homes in the area (LOL). The county is dealing with massive tides, called King Tides, that have some homes and streets flooded near the ocean.
City News Service reports that the tides have flooded parts of Pacific Coast Highway near Sunset Beach, affecting westbound traffic.
KTLA adds that the waves, which started yesterday, resumed this morning at about 8:55 a.m. Waves reportedly got up to eight feet high. Crews were working to remove water from houses and basements as well as streets.
