The heat of a Palm Springs afternoon can cause any one of us to do crazy things. For one 69-year-old Palm Springs woman, it meant getting up from her sunbathing chaise, taking a look around, and deciding to rob a bank or two. According to CBS, Carol Jean Bias was caught by police yesterday after leaving a Bank of America, where a dye pack had exploded inside a bag of money she stole, covering her in telltale ink.

This is the second robbery Bias is believed to have been involved with. In the first, earlier this month and also at a Bank of America, a woman allegedly arrived at the bank donning "large sunglasses and straw hat," and slipped a note to the bank teller, demanding money (and possibly threatening to call the teller's mother if they didn't comply).

A weapon wasn't used in either of the heists, but Bias is being held on charges, says CBS, of "strong-arm robbery."
