Pacific Coast Highway is closed in both directions between Sweetwater Mesa and Carbon Canyon because of a gas line break.

The road shut down at about 10:20 this morning, and officials expect it to stay closed for between two and three hours.

Residences and businesses south side of PCH between Carbon Canyon and the Malibu Pier are being evacuated.
