Husband & Wife Teachers Accused Of Sex With Student
Two Orange County teachers, 62-year-old Huntington Beach resident Daniel Shepard and his 59-year-old wife Gay Davidson-Shepard, were arrested at their home on Wednesday accused of having sex with a 17-year-old student, reports ABC Local.Investigators report the couple "had the boy over to their home weekly, gave him alcohol and had sex with him," say starting in March 2009. According to the District Attorney's office, notes ABC Local:
"Daniel Shepard allegedly had sexual relations with the boy until September 2009 and Gay Shepard continued to allegedly sexually assault him until December 2009 when the alleged victim turned 18."
Last month, the alleged victim reportedly notified his mother of the situation who then contacted Westminster police, say prosecutors. The victim was a student at Westminster High School where Daniel Shepherd was a teacher and Gay Shepard taught in Huntington Beach at Mesa View Middle School. The couple is due in court on Friday.
Reports ABC Local:
"Daniel Shepard is charged with two felony counts of oral copulation of a minor, a felony count of sodomy with someone under 18, a felony count of possession and control of child pornography and a misdemeanor count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Gay Shepard is charged with three felony counts each of unlawful sex, sodomy with someone under 18, oral copulation of a minor, all felonies, and a misdemeanor count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor."
