Not Your Average Blind Date
You never know who might be listening to the radio, and unfortunately for Roger Lodge it happened to be TJ Simers. Lodge might be in a bit of trouble for comments he made on his sports talk show on 1540 AM. According to Simers' column, Lodge responded to a call about Kobe Bryant's sexual abuse trial by saying:"Stop beating on him," for making one mistake. "If he wants to hit on the help at some hotel, it's his business."
This coming from the man who has made a career off of making 1,000 episodes worth of blind dates everyone's business. LAist wonders if Kobe perhaps learned his moves from the Blind Date: Uncensored DVD, except the date didn't quite end as planned.
In the meantime, it appears that the Clippers are now the front-runners to sign Kobe, in which case LAist would increase the odds of a guilty conviction by about 50%. We figure the Clippers' tragic past would have to come back and haunt them some way.
