New Year's Eve Reminders: All-Night Train Service, DUI Checkpoints, Freeway Closures

If you're going out tonight, here are some logistics you might want to consider:
- Beginning tonight, some freeway lane and ramps will close for the Tournament of Roses. If you plan on taking the 134, 210 or 710, read more here.
- And if you're driving, you may want to lay off the liquor and stay safe. Besides a saturation of police on the streets looking for drunks, there will be two checkpoints in Hollywood and in the NoHo Arts District. More info here.
- For those who can take advantage of this, do it. Metro is offering 24-hour service on the Red, Purple, Blue, Green, Gold and Orange lines. It is also free between the hours of 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. on all available Metro transit options. More info here.
- The Auto Club is offering free tipsy tows tonight and tomorrow. More info here.
