New Head of Parking Enforcement is Named, NBC4 Takes Credit
There's a new head traffic cop in town, and NBC Los Angeles is taking the credit for it.
In an article today, the news site announced that the city of Hermosa Beach's outgoing police chief Gregory Savelli will take over for Jimmy Price as L.A.'s parking enforcement chief as of January 17.
Price retired early in the wake of a scandal involving a traffic cop who participated in a porn movie. The cop was filmed feeling up a porn actress, letting her rub one out in his car, and clutching her butt as she straddled him. Price initially chose not to discipline the officer, claiming that he was unidentifiable in the video.
NBC writes that Price's early retirement was "a result of the NBC4 reports" about the incident.
