Diners at two different Southland Denny's may have had the joy of their ham and eggs destroyed last night when armed robbers overtook the restaurants and stole cash, then fled on foot.

City News Services reports that the robberies, which happened in Commerce and in Orange, were carried out within an hour of each other, beginning at 10:30 p.m. The first incident went down on the 3000 block of West Chapman Avenue in Orange. The robber came in, demanded cash, then ran.

The second happened at 11:30 p.m. on the 5100 block of Triggs Street in Commerce. The only details available about robbery part two is that it was also carried out by a man with a gun.

No suspects are currently in custody, and authorities are working to figure out if the incidents are related.
