Truth matters. Community matters. Your support makes both possible. LAist is one of the few places where news remains independent and free from political and corporate influence. Stand up for truth and for LAist. Make your year-end tax-deductible gift now.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon celebrated anniversary number three by delivering two babies today in LA. A representative for Carey confirmed the births to the Associated Press, notes Yahoo! Music, saying, "The singing superstar gave birth Saturday at 12:07 p.m. EDT at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles." The baby girl was reportedly born first, weighing in at 5 lbs and 3 ounces followed by her little brother at 5 lbs 6 ounces.

The high-note diva was reportedly driven to the hospital by Cannon in their Rolls-Royce Phantom, you know, like normal people do. 41-year-old Carey, who had previously experienced false labor, was reportedly calm believing it to be another non-start. Cannon, 30, was not as calm, and reportedly needed to be guided to the maternity ward by a nurse after heading to the wrong department.

MC's rep reported that the couple (brace for it....) listened to Carey's "We Belong Together" following the birth. The two are expected to renew their wedding vows on Sunday, notes Yahoo! Music. No baby names have yet been released.
