Map: All The Free Stuff For Bike To Work Day Tomorrow

Truth matters. Community matters. Your support makes both possible. LAist is one of the few places where news remains independent and free from political and corporate influence. Stand up for truth and for LAist. Make your year-end tax-deductible gift now.

Since you're already planning to save gas money tomorrow for Bike To Work Day (you are, right?), you can use this sweet map to find all of the free stuff along your route.

We're right in the middle of Bike Week LA and Metro's The Source blog has put together a handy map showing where you can get discounts and freebies on food, check out bike-in movies and tune up your bike, all over Los Angeles.

There are tons of pit stops marked by yellow tags on the map where you grab free snacks and coffee, meet up with fellow bike commuters, use bike pumps and tools, and receive cycling gear discounts and giveaways. Also, look for blue tags indicating where the bike-in movie screenings are taking place in the evening, and red tags where you can show your valid TAP card to get discounts at stores, restaurants and museums. You'll also see a few green tags at locations where you can say a secret password and get even more awesome deals.

Many of the deals and pitstops are available throughout Bike Week LA, just be sure to check the specifics on the map.

Some of our favorite Bike Week LA deals from the map include:

  • Discounted tickets to LACMA, Natural History Museum and performances at Red Cat
  • Free cupcakes at Sprinkles at FIGat7th
  • 10% off your entire purchase at Meltdown Comics and Collectibles
  • $3 off items over $5 at Amoeba Music
  • 15% off your bill at Bow & Truss in North HollywoodNow, get on your bikes and ride!

  • You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our connected community. We are free to tell the full truth, to hold power to account without fear or favor, and to follow facts wherever they lead. Our only loyalty is to our audiences and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen our community.

Right now, LAist has lost $1.7M in annual funding due to Congress clawing back money already approved. The support we receive before year-end will determine how fully our newsroom can continue informing, serving, and strengthening Southern California.
