Man's Body Found At Dockweiler State Beach
The body of a man in his 60s was found early Tuesday morning in the water off Dockweiler State Beach.
The body was discovered about 6:35 a.m. near the 6200 block of Ocean Front Walk, coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter told City News Service. Beach-goers came across the body, then flagged down lifeguards, CBS News reports.
According to the The Daily Breeze, the body was found near Lifeguard Tower 40, which is about a quarter-mile north of Culver Boulevard.
Authorities have not determined if foul play was involved in the man's death. His name has not yet been released.
Homicide detectives are investigating.
