Man Struck and Killed by Freight Train in Pacoima

Authorities are trying to identify a man who was hit and killed by a train at about 1:00 a.m. today in Pacoima, reports City News Service.
The man, described as in his mid-30s and wearing a black jacket, Levis and cowboy boots, was reportedly standing on the tracks when the train was coming. The Union Pacific freight train's engineer reported seeing something black in his way before hearing the sound of the impact.
The man had injuries to his forehead and had no ID on him.
