Man Run Over By Own Car While Digging Through Recycle Bins
A man was killed early this morning in the Lake Balboa area when his own pickup truck ran him over as he was digging through bins looking for recyclables, reports City News Service.
The man, whose name hasn't been released, was in his 40s and was found under the vehicle at about 12:40 a.m. at the intersection of Archwood Street and Hayvenhurst Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The car had rolled backwards and struck him.
