Man Hits Horse With Car, Both Die

A man was killed in Rolling Hills Estates early this morning when he struck a horse that had escaped from nearby stables with his car, reports City News Service.
The 69-year-old man, whose name hasn't been released yet, was driving a 2003 Mercedes Benz at about 2:00 a.m. south on Crenshaw Boulevard north of Palos Verdes Drive North when he hit the animal, who was running through lanes of traffic.
The man was critically injured and later died at the hospital, and the horse was euthanized at the scene.
