What did you do last week to get ready for the Fourth of July? By any chance, did you drive your car straight into the ocean? If so, you aren't alone -- on Friday, a man in Long Beach sent his car hurtling into the Pacific while yelling, "This is my beach!"

The incident went down at about 3:30 p.m. at Cherry Beach in Long Beach, according to the Press Telegram. In addition to telling everyone whose beach it is, the man was also shouting out his social security number. His white Nissan Maxima got about four feet into the water before coming to a stop, at which point the driver exited the vehicle and tried to swim further out into the sea.

Fortunately, no one was hurt, and the car was towed back onto dry land about an hour later. The man, whose name hasn't been released, was taken in for psychological observation.
