A father in a custody dispute over his 10-year-old child forcefully took the boy from his school last week and the two of them have not been seen since.

A court ordered George Betsis, an Australian National, to return his son, Tomas Betsis-Dunstan of Pacific Palisades, to the West Los Angeles police station, but when Betsis called and acknowledged the order, he told an officer he would not comply.

Now police are on the hunt for Betsis, who is described as a 49-year-old White man, with brown hair and eyes, 5 ft. 8 in. tall, 200 lbs., with a medium build and dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans. Detectives have reason to believe he is driving a 2009 Gray Kia Sorrento, California License Plate Number 6ELL191.
