Racial Profiling Addressed in Sheriff Civilian Oversight Commission Meeting
Earlier this month, the L.A. Times released an investigation that found that Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies stop Latinos significantly more than other races on the 5 freeway north of Santa Clarita. The Sheriff Civilian Oversight Commission spoke with chiefs from the department in its monthly meeting. Department officials deny bias is a factor.
