Get up close views of Rose Parade floats
You can get an upclose view of some of the magnificent floats in the Rose Parade.
You and your family can walk around the floats and take pictures. You can see the intricate designs and the millions of flowers, seeds and leaves it takes to create them.
The post-parade float viewing begins Saturday morning. All the floats are out along Sierra Madre and Washington Blvds in Pasadena. Tickets cost $7.
You can park in the area, but that is limited. Your best bet may be taking a shuttle to the viewing area from the Rose Bowl park-and-ride lots. One is available at the Rose Bowl on Arroyo and Seco parking lot H. There is another at Pasadena City College at the entrance on Bonnie St. and a third on Foothill Blvd just west of Sierre Madre Villa.
There's also a podcast audio tour you can take along to tour the floats. The viewing is on from 9a-5p Saturday and Sunday January 2nd and 3rd.
